The Wild Table

Kevin Hennessy

Kevin is a certified mountain rescue climber, certified search and rescue tracker, certified sailor, he holds 3 black belts (Taekwon-do, Ju-jitsu and Tai-jitsu) and has been a law enforcement officer, a firefighter and an EMT all in the state of Idaho.

Kevin's lived in the US for 8 years now. Originally born and raised in England where he studied survival with some of the top in the field (including the one and only Ray Mears!).

He's solo driven coast to coast in the US and visited 43 of the 50 states. He now lives at around 4000 feet in the rocky mountains with, get this... 7 children and his (clearly) amazing wife. The family all hike, hunt, kayak and canoe and run a small 6 acre farm where his wife Miranda uses goats milk from the farm to make her very popular goats milk soap.

He's recently started his own photography company which has taken off flying!

He's been a Swazi fan for going on 20 years now when the first item purchased was the original Tahr jacket. He reckons it's "still an amazing jacket to this day."

Hunters, Filmmakers & Content Creators

Kia Ora, from The Wild Table Team Cheska and Phil.

We are wild food enthusiasts committed to a journey of rediscovering our connection to food. Our personal goal is to become fully wild food-based (on the protein side) and explore all the incredible ways we can harvest, prepare and utilise wild ingredients to turn them into wildly delicious meals.

Our goal is to share learnings, insights, and know-how from our own personal experience, to enable and inspire others to get out there and encounter the wonders of eating food, that has been harvested by your own two hands.

We believe that by truly interacting with nature, through hunting, fishing, and foraging, we gain a much broader understanding, respect, and care for the wild places that remain. To harvest from these wild places with an eye toward stewardship and with a genuine passion for the biodiversity of these places is our ethos. Dirty hands but full hearts and bellies.

And that’s where SWAZI comes in!

We spend A LOT of time outdoors. Be that adventuring, hunting, fishing, foraging, camping, or cooking we love our time in nature. But time in nature can also test your mettle, so being prepared is key and preparations start with your kit. Swazi is as hardy as the people of this fine nation, it's been tried and tested in the very conditions that we play in. We count ourselves extremely lucky to be decked out head to toe in these durable garments so that we can focus on what we do without having to worry.

Grab yourself some Swazi gear and go adventure!
