I brought this for my partner and it had a rip in it after 2 hunts, wouldn’t recommend for hearty pig hunters especially hunting in rough bush in northland. Not very breathable carrying a pig.. Still pretty waterproof but a let down from the original tahr which we both love. Bummer! More ideal for hikers or deer hunting etc. good as a wind breaker!

I have the heavier version of this jacket for when I'm tramping down south, but needed a lighter weight model for when I'm up north. This one fits the bill. Or the "Scott", in my case ... :-)

Finally a product that works. The old Tahr jackets were cumbersome, leaky, heavy and a waste of time and money but this new product ticks all the boxes.

Outstanding pack away Jacket

Having had the Swazi Rifleman jacket for several years ( which is probably the best fold away jacket for space/water resistant money can buy) I thought it was time to upgrade. I wasn’t disappointed. This material is significantly tougher than the rifleman and the quality is outstanding. This does mean it takes up a little more space in your backpack , however still very compact. Packable down to a small lunchbox size.

I’ve worn it twice now in heavy rain and coming from a big Harkila clothing fan, I think Swarzi is the number one when it comes to waterproof hunting clothing.

I particularly like the length as it keep my legs and butt dry all the way down to around 8 inches above the knee. . Im 6ft 4” 108 kg and the large fits me quite nice with a medium insulated jacket underneath. If I wanted heavier insulation I’d probably have to go for an XL.

In summary an outstanding “pack away” jacket that you won’t be disappointed with.

Do you have Swazi retail stores?

What is the Swazi Warranty?

All Swazi garments are unconditionally warranted against faulty fabric and workmanship. We reserve the right to repair or replace at our discretion. We have a specific page for more details on our warranty and repairs and returns policies here.

Will I have to pay customs on an international order?

International customers are solely responsible for payment of all duties, import taxes and customs fees.

These fees are not included in the cost of shipping and we are unable to provide estimates of what this will cost as it will depend entirely on the garment and what charges your own government imposes.

Can I change or cancel my order?

We process orders very quickly, which means in most cases, we can't make changes after an order has been placed. We definitely cannot make changes after we have sent a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link.

In saying that, if you have already placed an order and would like to cancel or change it, please email us service@swazi.co.nz or call 64 6 368 4822 within 2 hours of placing your order. We will do the best we can.
