It's been a decent few years since there's been a Swazi Women's rain jacket in the range, and the good news is, she's here to stay. Made from our latest generation AEGIS® Whisper fabric, giving you optimal coverage from the wind and rain with its 20:20k waterproof and breathability rating.

Our latest Gen AEGIS® Whisper fabric also has a shorter nap, resulting in a faster drying time and a lighter jacket when exposed to water, compared to past versions. It features amazing freedom of movement, a chest pocket with riveted radio antenna easement channelled through the rubber chest label, large handwarmer pockets on the sides, and, of course, the legendary Swazi high periphery vision hood.

Fabric & Care

We were one of the first in the world to produce a soft, quiet, tough and durable rain garment. Made from a Polyester brushed tricot knit, with an eco-friendly 80/20 DWR (80% water-free in spray tests after 20 washes).

Waterhead: 20,000mm/m2/24hrs

Breathability 20,000g/m2/24hr.
Fabric weight: 275gsm (8oz/yd2)

Fabric Care:
Machine wash warm. Wash separately. Rinse thoroughly. Do not use bleach, or fabric softener. Tumble dry warm or line dry. Dry cleanable.

Windproof

Windshield Outer Layers provide total all round wind protection with extra warmth and comfort for when it comes in hard and cold!

Breathable

There's no point in wearing something that keeps out the rain if it keeps in the sweat - you still get wet!

We spend 2 years perfecting AEGIS® so that we ended up with a fabric that never gets wet, never let's moisture in from the outside, but lets moisture (perspiration) out. It breathes, but only in one direction (bit scary using that phrase these days...)

Great looking garments with superb performance mean this range is so stylish and so comfortable you will want to wear it all of the time.

Great all round jacket

I recently purchased the Artemis jacket to do the Queen Charlotte track this month. Since we have only had a 5 day summer I expected to use the jacket daily. The weather gods turned around the weather and we had 3 days of sunshine then drizzle for the last 2. Amazing views! Artemis was fabulous 2 wear, protected me from the wind and little bit of rain we had. Prior to the QC while training I did spend 3 hours in strong winds and heavy rain. Stayed dry and warm. Water just rolls off the fabric. When I needed to, I unzipped the armpits to let in a bit of air. Loved the hood tie, so easy to use, just pull the cords and lock in. No fumbling tying a bow while holding onto the dog lead. Also super easy to unlock. Heaps of pocket room and a great length. Fits easily in day pack. Artemis will go everywhere this winter. Highly recommend.

Fantastic

Wish I’d bought this years ago. I read the reviews and was desperate for a hard wearing and functional long raincoat that would keep me warm out in the wind and rain. This works and works well.! I got a bigger size to let me layer up, wish there were more colours.

What is the Swazi Warranty?

All Swazi garments are unconditionally warranted against faulty fabric and workmanship. We reserve the right to repair or replace at our discretion. We have a specific page for more details on our warranty and repairs and returns policies here.

Will I have to pay customs on an international order?

International customers are solely responsible for payment of all duties, import taxes and customs fees.

These fees are not included in the cost of shipping and we are unable to provide estimates of what this will cost as it will depend entirely on the garment and what charges your own government imposes.

Can I change or cancel my order?

We process orders very quickly, which means in most cases, we can't make changes after an order has been placed. We definitely cannot make changes after we have sent a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link.

In saying that, if you have already placed an order and would like to cancel or change it, please email us service@swazi.co.nz or call 64 6 368 4822 within 2 hours of placing your order. We will do the best we can.
