The base layer that does its job without you noticing — until the day you don't have it. The Argali Hooded Base is a men's hooded base layer built from lightweight polyester-spandex — flexible, responsive and engineered to wick moisture away from the skin and transfer it outward, keeping you dry and comfortable whether you're pushing hard or standing still. UPF 50+ protection for the days the sun is a factor. Antimicrobial fabric that stays fresh across multiple days of wear without complaint.

The hood adds extra warmth and protection for the head and neck when the cold moves in — without the bulk of a heavier layer. Wear it on its own in warm conditions or pair it with a Merino thermal underneath for serious cold weather moisture management. Versatile, lightweight and the kind of base layer that earns its place on every trip out.

This shirt worked very well on a Lanai Mouflon Sheep Hunt. Highly recommend for an active hunt in hot weather.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Do you have Swazi retail stores?

We do have a Swazi shop right next door to Swazi HQ here in Levin, New Zealand.

We only sell our products through the very best retailers - we're very selective about who we have representing our gear! Find out where your nearest store is by clicking on the Swazi Stockists section or click here for the quick link.

What is the Swazi Warranty?

All Swazi garments are unconditionally warranted against faulty fabric and workmanship. We reserve the right to repair or replace at our discretion. We have a specific page for more details on our warranty and repairs and returns policies here.

Will I have to pay customs on an international order?

International customers are solely responsible for payment of all duties, import taxes and customs fees.

These fees are not included in the cost of shipping and we are unable to provide estimates of what this will cost as it will depend entirely on the garment and what charges your own government imposes.

Please check with your local customs agent for more details.

Can I change or cancel my order?

We process orders very quickly, which means in most cases, we can't make changes after an order has been placed. We definitely cannot make changes after we have sent a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link.

In saying that, if you have already placed an order and would like to cancel or change it, please email us service@swazi.co.nz or call 64 6 368 4822 within 2 hours of placing your order. We will do the best we can.

How do I know what size I need?

Every individual product page has a link to our size chart.
