Once upon a time a hunter called Davey got pretty cheesed off with rain, snow, dust and all manner of crud getting over his binos. So he got the guys at Swazi to build him a Bino Beret and lived happily ever after.
Look. There's a heap of bino covers on the market and I guess some would say this is just another. Only thing is I've made mine with waterproof sides and front. That's the big difference.

Bino beret
Typical Swazi quality have invested hundreds of dollars in top Binicular harnesses over the years.
If most hunters are realistic this is the best lightest and by far easiest to use.

Perfect chapeau for my Leicas
This is a great addition to my bino-protection gear. I have a chest pack from Mystery Ranch that I also use, but sometimes I just need a lightweight cap for the Leicas when I take a walk in the woods or along a coastal path without a pack or need for additional gear.
The Bino Beret came quickly to Vancouver and I'm delighted with its simple yet effective functionality.
