Best base layer top I've ever worn

Without question this top is the best base layer I've ever had. I bought an onyx/ironsand (a.k.a. 'black') one and was so impressed I bought the olive/tussock one not long after. I got a different colour to avoid inadvertently wearing the same one for six months — not that I'd have noticed, because it seems impossible to get these stinky. They're at least as comfortable as other top merino brands (more so IMO); the fit is excellent (on me — YMMV); they're long enough to cover your arse (and in my experience that means significant additional warmth, particularly for people like me — long and lean, like a weasel); yet despite the additional length they're LIGHT (my size S weighs 144 g, which is ridiculously light for such a warm top).

Oh, and they dry super fast.

Best Ever Base

Brilliant, light weight but warm as toast . "Long" in design so you can tuck it in and keep the neither regions warm as well . Have already bought another one and are thinking of getting one more so I'm covered for a 3 day excursion .

Hoodoo up the routeburn

Wife and I went for a walk up to routeburn falls hut last week, snow everywhere, trees down and pretty cold.

Had the hoodoo merino top on, plus micro shirt, raincoat over the top and stayed warm as.

It's good to know you have gear that's reliable and does what it should.

We have snow on the ground in cromwell today, I've been out for a wander, hoodoo is my go to for staying warm.
