Features

  • Made in Vietnam from a three-layer AEGIS® fabric which is soft, light, very quiet and is 100% waterproof, windproof and breathable.
  • Extra long, full-length 2-way YKK water resistant zip to ensure the jacket is as easy to get on as it is to get off.  Use the top puller to zip it up closed, or use the bottom puller if you want more breathing room down under.
  • The hood protrudes into an adjustable peak, stiffened with both a durable liner and a hood wire to enable excellent peripheral vision and exceptional water shedding.
  • The hood also zips off for those times when you don't need the extra protection.
  • Chest waterproof inner map pocket stored securely under storm flap.
  • Hand warmer pockets
  • Two generous external "wet" pockets which have mesh eyelets to allow any collected water to easily drain away
  • Bistable pockets - What the hell does that even mean?  Glad you asked.  It is a lite-weight metal that pops out the pocket tops on wet pockets
  • Tab located inside handwarmer pockets pulls out and snaps to bottom wet pocket allowing it to remain open for quick access
  • Stretch inner cuff with touch-tape outer cuffs ensures sleeves stay where you want them to.
  • Side vents for unrestricted walking and climbing movement.
  • Can be rolled into it’s own hood for easy stowing.

Good for shooting in.

I gave my new Wapiti XP a bloody good test yesterday, shooting pheasants in the piss wet rain. At the end of the day I was as dry as a Nun's naughty bits, but the best thing was it is easy to shoot in, even in the wet. The only disappointment was finding I could have bought it at Farmlands for far less.

Swazi

Thanks so much for the great review. We don't actually sell at Farmlands so you got the best deal through us. Cheers

Wapiti jacket

Overall very warm and comfortable, some great design features and the usual good quality. My only negative so far is the hood arrangement, the little slidey clip things are a bit of a faff to line up especially with cold fingers. I'm hoping they will stay on as it wears in.

Otherwise a great bit of gear.

Wonderful Raincoat

It keeps out the rain and is much warmer than expected. All the tech features are greatly appreciated. I wish I bought this before any of my other raincoats.

Age old question of favourite swazi garment finally answered!

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a bit feral, and that I've worn and raved about Swazi since I was knee high to a grass hopper as it simply doesn't quit on me during all the abuse it receives on various life adventures. Every new swazi item makes it harder to choose a favourite - adventure socks go down as dress socks at the local, farm socks just won't die no matter how much mahi you do, micro pants are perfect for an evening river stalk, the mojo pouch is that little something extra the hunting belt needed, the hood is a perfect mainstay for every adventure, the clansman sticker holds my rusty Safari together... to name a few. Then there's the old favourites - a camo Back40 of the gold label vintage that gives the illusion I know what I'm doing in the bush, and a several-sizes-too-large bush shirt of similar vintage stolen off the old man that resembles a sack but is comfy as can be. The only thing left to try in an attempt to find a definitive favourite was a rain coat. So you can imagine the excitement when this broke shepherd spotted a Wapiti coat in the bargain bin at half price. Needless to say its holding up to the monumental level of expectation, and in the unlikely event it doesn't Swazi are primo to deal with on the customer service front anyway. Most importantly, I think I can finally answer the question of what my favourite bit of swazi kit is - well worth it even if I hadn't good as stolen it at half price. Sadly no action shots chasing its namesake (yet), but…
